I came across this after looking that the Desiring God blog, loved it, and wanted to share it with you! You can also view it online at: http://www.desiringgod.org/Blog/966_5_helpful_prayers/
Whatever it takes, Lord, give me...
Delight in you as the greatest treasure of my heart. Delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
Desire to know you, be with you, and seek your kingdom above all else. Delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
Discernment that comes from a renewed mind that I might know your will. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. (Hebrews 5:14)
Discipline to plan for what I discern as your will. Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)
Diligence to do your will with all my heart. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. (Deuteronomy 6:5)
Well, God is definitely moving here at Georgia Tech! Last week I was able to meet up with a first year ADPi for coffee. We ended up being at Starbucks for more than two hours! God granted such favor with her and we connected in many different ways. Mostly though I was blown away by her eagerness to do ministry! She wants to grow and is ready to seriously labor in her sorority! Crazy enough, half of her friends are in ADPi and the others are in ZTA. We've already talked about how to practically going so each girl in ADPi has a chance to hear the gospel. The Lord is providing mercifully and in powerful ways!
Now Meghan is going to our New Year's Conference too! However, since she is from NC, we couldn't figure out a ride for her. So, we booked a plane ticket for $235. Please pray God would provide this. Meghan is so excited to see how our Father will make this happen and is eager to experience Him in this way.
Please pray:
1. God to provide the $235 for Meghan's plane flight so she can be equipped to better share her faith at Georgia Tech next semester!
2. My personal support would be at 100% at the end of Dec.
3. God would provide non-believers to pour into next semester and I would not get caught only in being in Christians circles of students
4. We would see NEW LIFE over the break at our New Years' Conference and next semester on campus
5. That our staff (CO Atlanta) team would be alert, energetic, open, and would learn so much during this week of training
Let's pray this week that our infinite God would provide despite who we are!
"Behold you are nothing, and your work is less than nothing; an abomination is he who chooses you. " Isaiah 41:42
"Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights...I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you" Isaiah 42: 1, 6
1. God would provide 100% of my support by the end of the year (that's 25% overt the next three weeks)! Let's pray hard for this as it seems impossible to man, but is only possible through God!
2. For New Year's conference: for the speakers, those planning the event, for students' hearts to be change, that I would be challenged, and we would see God work amazingly
3. For the freshmen I've been able to spend time with (Paige, Meghan, Katelyn): that God would use me in their lives, that the Spirit would move in them with full conviction, they would be hungry for growth, that I would be able to meet more women in their dorm, Cloudman. 4. That the older ADPi girls (Hillary, Darrah, Hannah, Marisa, Julie) would grow tremendously, be committed to ministry, and would be on board with Campus Outreach
5. God would continue to prepare me for next semester, provide "ins" to ZTA, and humble me in the gospel daily.
