First, I wanted to give you an update on Hallee and Catherine. The Dr.s said Catherine will not have to have extreme surgery and will instead have to undergo intense chemo, which was a huge blessing! Please continue to pray for them and their family.
Second, I wanted to invite you to pray for our Summer Beach Project. Applications for the summer are due April 10th and students are starting to make decisions about their plans. Please pray that they would not be harboring idols, but would truly surrender their lives and summer plans to the Lord, whatever His will may be.
Please also pray for staff and student leaders as we prepare for the summer. Join with me in praying we'd be walking by the Spirit, do all things for the sake of the Gospel, and would have wisdom in all decisions.
Ask our God that students' hearts would be prepared for the summer even now and they would have a desire to grow.
Hallee is a freshman ZTA at Georgia Tech who I met at our Winter Extreme a few weeks ago. Though I've personally never had any real spiritual conversations with her, she seems exposed to church and actually came to our student prayer this past Sunday night. While there she told me about her cousin, Katherine, a 21-year old Mercer just student diagnosed with severe breast cancer. Hallee said Katherine is a strong believer.
Please pray for Katherine and healing from cancer. Let's ask God to open doors for deeper conversations with Hallee exploring God's character throughout this. Please pray for Hallee that she would understand God's sovereignty and trust Him even in difficult situations. Let's also ask that God would comfort their family and ultimately that they would come to know or grow closer to the Lord in this.
